Barzin started as a solo project, but from the many musicians had taken their part in live performances and recordings, Mike Findlay, Suzanne Hancock and Tony Decker ( Great Lake Swimmers ) have become permanent.

So far he'd released one EP "Songs for Hinah" ( Hinah 2004 ) and two albums "Barzin" ( Where Are My Records 2003 ) and "My life in rooms" ( Monotreme 2006 ).

Following the path created by Galaxie 500, Codeine or Low but with a more varied instrumentation and a sound a bit more folk or alt/country ( not unlike Mojave 3, Tindersticks or Early Day Miners ), this is quiet and minimalist, dark but heartwarming music that should be cherished by many.
