An experimental side-project supergroup - referencing both Madonna and Sonic Youth in their name - made up of Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Steve Shelley and Kim Ranaldo, Minutemen and fIREHOSE's Mike Watt and Black Flag's Greg Ginn.
United by a love of Madonna records, the band recorded a cover of her hit "Into The Groove" and subsequently recorded "The Whitey Album", itself a reference to Sonic Youth's claims that they would record an album which covered The Beatles' "White Album" in it's entirety.
