I'm listening to the newest Sigur Ros for the first time.
forgot there was some pretty good stuff on 'ere
Early to mid-period stuff. Spent the day on fairly monotonous website content stuff & it helps me focus. Now a bit of Girl Talk to liven me up for Friday night (it's nearly 6pm here in Thailand).
I've got it playing as well.
Yeah, this is pretty brilliant.
By Stars of the Lid.
I have a new colleague who is really distracting and it's just on the right level to avoid her voice
FRONT TO BACK BACK TO FRONT ALL DAY TODAY IT'S KNIFE DAY YES
i'm disappointed it hasn't had more love as it's a fucking great record
because of the stupid snow
Mu-ziq, aphex twin, reload, biosphere, black dog etc...
and I can't stop listening to it. Montezuma. Woah
The new Dutch Uncles and my Wednesday Graveyard playlist No. 63 on Spotify earlier and now Flashlight Seasons by Gravenhurst on my Google Music.
moreso the last two albums though
i'm doing a discoopgraphy day today. :)
I want to kill myself.
One of the tracks came on my MP3 player on shuffle on the way to work and I just had to listen to the full album when I got into the office.
Getting in the mood for Friday night early...
til my colleague came in, then Turin Brakes to appease her.
conversation mentioned above, one of my colleagues is dealing with a massive pile of post from earlier in the week, so a constant loud datestamping session is taking place. no discernable beat pattern though.
ahead of David Bazan's show next week, and some Kid Killowatt 'cause Hydra Head just uploaded it to Bandcamp. I've also ordered the album:
And also this, far too much:
...which I've posted before but am desperate for people to hear because this band is awesome.
There's No Leaving Now. He sounds great when there's snow outside.
making myself popular in the office
...and he is currently listening to pantha du prince, so thats what i am listening to!
How do you like me now? etc...
Been listening to the Dinghus album a lot actually. Love Bag for Life.
hope they come back to the uk this year
so far I've listened to the new Yo La Tengo record (stunning it is too), and some Phosphorescent, Arab Strap and Miles Davis. I love working at home.
I'm listening to the first EP by Chino Morino's Crosses band. It's good for working to.
and Mountains. Will inevitably give the new YLT another spin this afternoon as well
i need something CALMING!
Til the boss complains about streaming slowing everything down. ("You're sure it's not these shitty old computers and crap Verizon connection, sir?")
what are you, indentured slave?
they're playing it on CNN. yawn.
'Cos HMV TEK MEH JERB!
Probably Dutch Uncles later.
from 2002 in London, the same tour I could have gone to (the Bristol date) but had food poisoning. I believe this is their last before their "indefinite hiatus". It is frickin brilliant.
Good for powering through stuff!
their whole ethos and energy makes you think "yeah. I can totally fucking smash this excel spreadsheet".
You should all contribute!
Blondes disc 2 with all the remixes.
Good music to type to. Angrily.
really helps block out the drones twittering all around me!
is the new album a good place to start?
