The Sun sayeth: Sugababe to quit

Mutya Buena is close to quitting the Sugababes, so reports The Sun.
A source is quoted thus: "Mutya has told the girls she is leaving the band. It has been tough for her since she had her baby daugher Tai earlier this year. The constant touring and recording schedules have just become too much and she feels it's time to call it a day.
"Her label have told her she has to stay but her mind is made up. They will try to wheel her out to show the band are still together but it will all be official soon."
Do the band have a single out for Christmas? Cos if so, this = publicity, innit.

were "special guest presenters" on popworld last weekend. simon kept making comments about how the third one was "ill, right?" and that's why she wasn't there.

And so are "Overload" and a few others.
I think they're a good pop act. If all pop acts were as good as Sugababes and Girls Aloud the world'd be a far better place.

And The version of 'Freak Like Me' they did on the Richard X album is great.
The rest: meh, and they come accross as not being very nice people.
Also I hate that video they did where they're at a gig which is nothing like any gig ever.

The latter's new single is ridiculously good.

started out with this spark that was buried under a mass of understatement... and were consequently awesome. the way they came across as so nonchalant and *shrug* and made the fact that they couldn't REALLY sing too well completely, totally irrelevant... they were the musical equivalent of someone tickling the back of your neck for 1.5 seconds then running away. [as opposed to rubbing their tits in yr face lapdance stylee, Ã la most other girl bands.]
these days they shake their booties like everyone else, sing like everyone else [but less competently], look like everyone else, and are less interesting altogether.

is brilliant. Push the Button is awful. Terrible. Jesus.
Sugababes are ok but Girls Aloud are MUCH better. Better image. Better songs. Better singers.
