Following an exchange of guitarists and some time away from gigging, mypetme make a re-energised and re-organised return to the stage; visibly proud and excited, their performance tonight is refreshingly confident and well organised. The crowd are ecstatic; they have found their new local heroes.

Lead singer Chris holds the spotlight throughout the gig – dancing and jumping all over the place to the various changes in rhythm and timing of their rapidly increasing catalogue of songs. Refreshing melodic periods interlude harder songs such as 'Read the Fucking Manual' and 'Ghost Notes'. At many times their set noticeable nods towards bands like Glassjaw; though falling short of the intensity of performance fo the aforementioned mpm’s gravel vocals and austere wails are enviably intimidating and crescendo into a cataclistic intensity.

mpm have shown they can compete in their genre. With their demo featuring on Radio One’s Rock Show and supporting underground heroes Mahumodo, aconite Thrill and Fireapple Red things should only improve this year for mpm.
