White Rose Movement

White Rose Movement's penetrating, rhythmic mix of edgy indie and new wave electro made for a night of serious musical pleasure at Bristol Carling Academy 7/12.
Picture the scene: Close enough to smell the band's adrenilyn; fashion victims, outcasts, & alternatives littered the room with outrageous hair, tight jeans and thick mascara. Hearts thumped as people jumped to the hardcore synthy beat. Dry ice and neon lights gave an electronic ambience as White Rose Movement danced on the amps, (and nearly on the fans,) playing their hearts out for the crowd to lap up the blood.
Every song was a pumping, rushing, mesmerising experience. With many highlights such as "Girls's in the Back", "Alsation", "London's Mine", "Love is a Number", "Deborah Carne" and "Kick". Lead singer; Finn Vine's vocals were soul encapturing aswell as razor sharp. And the whole band had an immense, electric stage presense.
Jerky, robotic dances blended perfectly with angst ridden movements to make the powerful intros, slamming choruses and soaring verses stage dive into the extremely welcoming crowd.
After the gig the band stuck around for signings and photos, to the joy of the still shaken audience. Their slightly arrogant stage persona was swapped for real warmth towards the fans, and great friendliness, with very little exception.
White Rose Movement have bitch slapped Bristol, and Bristol are loving it. I hope they visit again and bring more hot sweaty bass players, music with an impact and style with an edge.
