Sufferkiss are
ace. Rock with razorblades in and an touch of glam, an adrenaline rush that never dims meaning the quiet bits are edgy and the loud bits are LOUD. You can tell they love being on-stage and the kick’s infectious – for the duration of the set I utterly forgot the head-numbing cold that meant I’d had to stuff myself to the gills with paracetamol to get out the house. Posing and pouting, on-stage banter, crashing drums, raging guitars… marvellous, really. They’ve got more live dates coming up in the not-so-distant – go see them.
Jeff willingly compare themselves to the Stereophonics. This is not a good thing. They’re just bland, there’s no passion to them. It’s pure pub rock, the kind of thing that sits in the background without demanding your attention and will be forgotten instantly when you leave. There’s the occasional moment when you can hear a decent riff or section of melody struggling to get out of the mire, but that’s not enough to be a saving grace. Though they brought a fair few fans along, so maybe I’m missing something. Maybe.

Jeff + Sufferkiss - Cambridge Man On The Moon
Secondly, Pub rock we may be but, pub rock has been arond a lot longer than angst because people like it!
Thirdly and this is my final point, a review is subjective, it's an opinion, it's a viewpoint and therefore is always gonna annoy someone, unfortunately as a band we can't be liked by everyone and we accept that. It's just a shame that one of the few people who doesn't like us happens to be a reviewer.

Eh?
Re: Jeff + Sufferkiss - Cambridge Man On The Moon
I haven't heard a peep about Jeff, but I am not Stereophonics fan.
I'm a fan of passionate music, but please people- remember that there are no rights or wrongs in music- just personal taste!
Re: Jeff + Sufferkiss - Cambridge Man On The Moon
I seems to me that Jeff had a rather large fan base at the gig, and at the end of the day if your fans come to the gigs and support the band then any review can be harmless.
I find it unlikely that one persons review will mean anything to people that have seen the band play before.
As before, its personal taste!

wrong Jeff
Yo. Don't confuse this Jeff with the original kickass Jeff from Nashville who have been on Infinity Cat (be your own PET's label)since 2002. Their third album, "Castle Storm" totally fucking rocks hard.
