Imagine you are watching a metal band from Cornwall. In Manchester. Would you too be slightly perturbed by his American ghetto accent while addressing the crowd? An interesting phenomenon. An all too common occurrence perhaps. Are bands just not inspired by their homeland any more? Why does ‘The Other Side’ draw so much?

Fallen To were competent but amazed me not. They got the crowd going. Blah Blah. They rocked the shapes down. Blah Blah. The horns were duly thrown. Blah Blah. The motions were passed through. Hmph.

But then we got to see seven on this stage? I kid you not. That in itself was spectacle enough. Mushroomhead must be fucking ugly because they sounded it. Oh god, yes, they did. Truly menacing they were. Truly, truly. They wore deranged expressioned rubber masks. With a mile-wide grin painted upon it and then they just stood there. Shuddering. Shaking. Gyrating. Posing. I couldn’t understand a single word they said…something about pink pwincesses? I dunno. Definitely something about Maaaaaanchester, though. I think it was all about effect.

Erm... there are 8 people in Mushroomhead... where did the other one go? Maybe it's you? I put it to you Raz that you are in fact Mushroomhead bassist Pig Benis!

Nah seriously though 'XX' is a decent take on Faith No More, people should check a couple of songs out, maybe 'Solitaire Unravelling' and 'Bwomp'.
