Putting the needle back on to the turntable for the fourth consecutive time, ‘Burn Faster’, the first track from Nine Black Alps’ second album, is still (in)distinctly unmemorable.

A mere slip of a song, ‘Burn Faster’ is both anaemic and hookless; an uneasy amalgam of indie rock and the post-grunge kafuffle they were lamented or lauded for in the first place, depending on which side of the rock fence you sat on.

By the time the middle eight / outro grinds in, there seems so very little point, and still, there’s nothing to remember…

omg

but this review is really short. YOU CALL THIS JOURNALISM!>??!?!

Lack of progression

from their debut.

DiS?

I thought i was ready a shitty london freebie paper.

edit

*reading.

That is a very short review

It tells us nothing.

I've only heard the song once, a week ago, and it's still rattling around my head.

Thought it got what deserved

an average review for a very average song.

forgettable review

and the songs not even that bad, worthy of maybe a 6 in my opinion. nothing particularly special but pleasant enough.

First they were shit Nirvana

and now they're shit Foo Fighters.

I guess that's progress.

shit review. i'm sure he had much more to say about latest klaxons b side.

fuck indie - elitism. nine black alps is a good band.

Look...

..I know this review is shit. I'm sorry. But you try writing about this sorry tat.

Hmm.

I can't help but like this song. I probably shouldnt. But I DOOOOOOO!

Too much like Nirvana

I thought everyone grew out of grunge when they got to 12 and started big school?

Something like that

Nirv (12-15yrs)
Zeppelin (15-17yrs)
Punk Rock(17-21yr)
Indie crap bands nobody will remember a year from now (21-life)

RstJ

saw them last night

and they were mighty good.

This song

is worthy of a lot more than a 5. It's insanely catchy. 9BA are a really good band, they're incredibly underrated. Certainly better than all that Jack Penate and Kate Nash wank.

BYE BYE NINE BLACK BORINGS

No-one cares any more.
