All he touches ain’t been gold for some time now, and while Pharrell Williams is a pretty special name to have on your band’s CV so far as collaborators go, his influence on The Hives’ latest single is entirely forgettable. Phoned-in funk licks beneath the same-ol’ braggadocio from that Howlin’ fella. Blah.
A Matt Helders remix is slightly more distracting, if only for the WTF is an Arctic Monkey doing remixing t’ings aspect. Functionary, bleepin’, slightly better than meh: it’s a little more brutish than the straight-faced A-side, and better for it.
But, that old adage… you can’t polish a what?

The album is pretty good and there are 13 other tracks
on this album better than this. Even A Stroll Through Hive Manor Corridors is better.
Agree with review.
I've never gotten this band
I mean really, what are they for?
fun and games,
lollipops and even funner tunes
ignore the asshole behind the curtain
this release has to be a marketing angle by the label. BECAUSE THE ENTIRE REST OF THIS CD KILLS. wont be long, got it all wrong, armageddon, bigger hole to fill, etc., all fookin great. ?!? just weather the marketing shite. maybe record company execs are so hungry that now they're eating their young.
i like this song
it's cathcy and all. i agree with the sentiment that the album is brilliant as well. this song isn't indicative of the record as a whole
