Seven Feet Four: Departure / Arrival

Man, this is good. Energetic, punchy and very anthemic, Seven Feet Four’s barbed blood-pumping rawk is a blessing straight from Sweden which, let’s face it, you can always rely on for top-notch progressive post-hardcore. More in tune with the angular melodies of 'The Argument'-era Fugazi than the crazy spaghetti strums of The Blood Brothers, Seven Feet Four surf through waves of jagged off-the-hook rhythms that somehow remain in sync whilst a well of catchy melodies lurk underneath.

Indeed, a riotous sing-along frenzy like ‘The Observer’ is strong enough to rival Fugazi, Modest Mouse or even Division of Laura Lee’s finest moments while their unwieldy assault remains all the more, erm, progressive. It burns with a classic mentality whilst staying vitally fresh, but then that could just be the mastering work from the legendary Pelle Henriccson (Refused, Fireside etc) and the fact that anything he touches turns to gold!

Surging, uplifting and head-noddingly good, Seven Feet Four demand your attention.

Seven Feet Four - Departure / Arrival

what do you mean with «strong enough to rival fugazi, modest mouse or even division of laura lee’s»? are you telling us that division beats isaac brook's band and the kings of posthardcore themselves?? o_O

Seven Feet Four - Departure / Arrival

I said it's strong enough to rival their "finest moments." Ok, so I didn't aim to imply that Division are better than Fugazi or Modest Mouse, but they're all in the same premier league in my opinion, and Seven Feet Four are up there with them!
