Goldrush, in case you don't know, are NAM chancers from Oxford, formerly known as Whispering Bob, they wisely changed thier name, starting writing effortless, beautiful, epic pop songs, got signed by the second coolest label in the World, Truck Records, got liked by Lamacq, and are now being hailed, rather laughingly, as "the new Starsailor"
This, there second release as Goldrush, is a fantastic, joyous record to listen to. Haunting, yet somehow familiar vocals, combine with breezy acoustic guitars to make a recognisable formula of NAM loveliness. This is a wholly commercial record, with not a whiff of Sigur Ros about it, so deserves to chart highly, but naturally, it won't. Recent talk of Goldrush changing labels, so as to secure bigger sales, is wholly deserved on a record as good as this. Loyalty, my arse.
Goldrush are a likeable lot and 'Love Is Here' has very little wrong with it. Lets hope to hear more of this lot in due course.

Goldrush - Love Is Here
um. that would be because they run the label?
