Manchester's adopted indie guitar heroes Haven have reinstated their claim as the best epic newcomers with this, their third and most accomplished release.

'Let It Live' is a meteoric belter of a tune. Epic guitars collide with heavily reverbed vocals to turn out a suitably nonchalant anthem. Very much in the vain of an early Oasis B-side (a compliment) and produced by Smiths' legend Johnny Marr, this has a huge chorus and should pave the way for a lift in the careers of Haven.

Jump on now...Their time is now.

Top Review Jon. I agree that Haven are a top band, but I don't see them having any kind of commercial success.

joey, you're right it is a top review, but haven will have commercial success, mark my words. they're far to good (looking, sounding,etc) to fade away with the likes of cud.

haven have a magic that you can't fake, see them live and accept i'm right.

I personally don't think they'll become huge, but I do think they will get a status much elevated from what they have at present. The, as yet, unreleased tracks that are played live and have been played in sessions are just as impressive.

I can't comment on any other Haven's although I assume there must be because I can't see Haven playing the Dublin Castle at this level- Each time i've seen them in Manc, the nite and day has been absoloutly rammed, hence the step up to Planet K...Seemingly equal with London...

how many Havens are there??

im confused! i just got sth from bugbear prmotions about winterbriefs october tour (ill get on your nerves with that nearer the time btw! winterbrief are VERY good!) and according to the stuff i got winterbrief are gonna support a band called haven on october 3rd at the dublin castle?! but this haven you just reviewed plays in liverpool that day so..uh-oh...can someone please enlighten me??

I know there's also a metal band called Haven on the frontiers records label.

I know it doesn't sound the most original of band names, but three gigging and signed Haven's is a bit ridiculous...
