Lo-Fi Londoners Hefner return to their roots with a raw sounding frazzled scorcher.

Darren Hayman has been listening to an awful lot of electronica recently. Having formed and split up a new synth led group, he has brought the sound of the analogue to Hefner for this, the first single to be taken from forthcoming album 'Dead Media'.

'Alan Bean', is a song about Alan Bean, the fourth man to walk on the moon. It encorporates distorted vocals, synth and simple drum and guitars to produce a typically simplistic yet highly charged Hayman tribute. Where last year's album 'We Love The City' lost Hefner's true sound with slight over production, they have returned with a brilliantly catchy pop song.
