The Butterflies Of Love hail from New Haven, Connecticut, and are purveyors of exceedingly bland middle class Indie Pop that really seems a lot more interesting on paper – for a band made up of a 'Divinity School graduate', an 'iron on expert', an 'audio-visual technician' and a self-proclaimed 'art recycler' - there’s an intriguing deficit of ideas in the music. Overreaching and self-satisfied, it’s the musical equivalent of a Carla Lane 'comedy'.
Still, it’s part of the label’s usually reliable singles club, and given the usual quality of Homesleep-endorsed releases, we’ll let em off this time cause we can hear Pat’s van drive up with a new batch o’ freshly baked beauties.
