They released this track not nine months ago, and it only, ONLY got into the lower reaches of the top 40. How dare they! The people! Foolish idiots, they clearly know nothing, and now The Killers are to release ‘Somebody Told Me’ again (slew of crap dance remixes included), just so you realise that you made a stupid mistake and that it is, in fact a No.1 record in all but chart placing, and hopefully you’ll rectify that as well…

…which is probably what they’re thinking up at Killers Towers. Not realisation obviously, that ‘STM’ is simply a piece of very danceable but ultimately hackneyed dancefloor indie. But I guess, what with that big headline tour coming up, and the extra exposure they’re now getting, they’ve got to capitalise on their fortune.

New hype and new audience however, doesn’t stop the single sounding like weird moments of Republica and Rick Witter touching up Pulp. Because it does and always will. Don’t overreach ladies and gentlemen, you’ll end up straining something…

Commendably though, they haven't even pretended to change the record cover in ANY WAY whatsoever... and that's a credit to their 'same as last time' asses.
