Unfortunately, less can be said about the whimsical vocals, which vent as much enthusiasm as a deflated, battered and bruised space hopper that’s truly had the fun squeezed out of it.
With the overall message “What we tell our children’s children” hinting at some sort of re-hashed half-hearted 6th form politics, this lacks any sort of potency or social bearing on everyday life.
A best it just reeks of mediocre rock that is apathetically dull.

Agent Blue - Children’s Children
Why have you let this person review such an awesome new band and a great new singe in such an apathetic and shit way? It clearly isn't doing AB any favours and fair enough you don't have to it's a free world but i would prefer DiS if i'm going to be a regular reader to focus on the good and the positive in music and not just be a horrible littler cooler and than cool clique.
You clearly have an editorial agenda like the NME for certain bands - bloc party, kaiser chiefs and so on - so why not for Agent Blue?
How ironic she's says the lyrics are sixth form when the standard of the review is fifth form... And why do we have to have social relevancy or potency to everyday life eh? Like fuckin Helicopter or Banquet does or Hounds of Love or Take Me Out. Like fuck they do...It's just a great song love, great melody, driving guitars, nothing wrong with it at all, sticks in yer head like great singles should? Talk about being wide of the mark!!
Has this person seen AB live, clearly not, apathetic and dull is not what you'd use to describe them. Save that for your so called cool bloc party and KC's bands. Both apathetic, dull and over-rated.....
I wonder whether Battle will ever receive any lukewarm reviews on here? I'll watch with great interest to see if DiS promotes freedom of speach universally among its reviewers or whether some bands are more deserved of a clear totally praised path to glory than others.....

A Stolen Honda Vision is a classic album title dare i say it...
Re: Agent Blue - Children’s Children
1. the whole point of a review is it's subjective.
2. DiS doesn't have an agenda and it is far more ecletic than the NME, you only have to read it for a few days to discover it.
3. what bearing does a band's live act have on a single?
4. the point here is that the song is trying to be political: take me out isn't.

Goethe
Everyone has an agenda. Sorry that's well pretentious isn't it? I'll leave it.
Agent Blue - Children’s Children
I doubt anyone will disagree they're better than the others.
Re: Agent Blue - Children’s Children
I don't think they give two shites about student politics.
Which this reviewer clearly does.

Agent Blue - Children’s Children
Of course, that doesn't go for people like Bloc Party, who get special party-political broadcasts sent out via e-mail.
Utter crap.
Read this absolutely awful review again and what does it actually tell you?
Agent Blue are a post-modern punk band with a throbbing bass line. Amazing. Thanks for shedding some light on that.
If you're going to review a single, review it, don't just slag off a band cos you don't like them.
