After Level 42 (admit it – Mark King is a bass god), The Bees are probably Isle Of Wight’s best musical export, cooking up an infectious blend of dancey, dubby, druggy, psychedelic vibes (man) perhaps best demonstrated by 2004’s ‘Free The Bees’.

Hatched from this album comes ‘Chicken Payback’, three minutes 12 seconds of feather brained ‘fun’ based entirely around the words chicken, piggy, monkey, camel, donkey, and celebrating dance crazes of the same name.

Given the fact ‘Chicken Payback’ is both stupidly catchy, and incredibly cheesy, it will either drive one clucking mad or leave one cock-a-doddle-doo-ing with joy. Personally, I think it’s flocking brilliant.

Can I stop these chicken-related puns now? I’m feeling a bit hen-pecked.
