Oddly enough, download only single 'After The Rush Hour' doesn't really sound like Million Dead at all. Alongside its predecessor, the frank 'Living The Dream', it certainly seems to quantify talk surrounding the ever-changing MD sound featured on forthcoming longplayer 'Harmony No Harmony'.

Although it goes some way to proving that the band don't have to have everything cranked to 11 all the time, it lulls in places. Distinctly unremarkable verses are rescued with the irrepressible big hook of a chorus the band have so regularly shown they're capable of. Slightly confusing lyrics about wagon trails and frontiersmen aside, 'After The Rush Hour' is alright - a bit of a grower, and sounds nice on the radio. Bring on the album.

Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

the album is INCREDIBLE.
which is apt. cos they are just that themselves.
its been reviewed a bit already, in places, such as here.

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

This review is kinda weak and more an effort at reviewing by numbers. Given the music said reviewer is into, it just appears to be a bit lazy.

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

The album review on cfl is neat, much more engaing with the reader and the record, which is truely AWESOME

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

Nice self plug, alcxxk

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

*high fives self*
i figure that people reading the single review that says "bring on the album" will be interested in the review.

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

the track on the new HMV playlist cd is fucking ace - (Murder and Create, i think), it's like siamese dream era pumpkins covering Fugazi - that and the SOAD album on the same day is almost drool worthy

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

i figure thats one of the weaker tracks on the album. its aaaaaaaall gold anyway.

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

So YOU stole that promo. Bastard

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

BUT
i have enjoyed it SO MUCH
that you CANNAE hold it against me.

but did i do good?

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

Yeah, I'll let it go. Just submitted my review of this single so it should be up on CFL in a couple of days. I'd like to think it reads a bit like a Million Dead song itself. Its better than this.

Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

If you don't go out and buy 'Harmony No Harmony' next week i'll eat your kids. :D

Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

Bollocks. I find it stupidly catchy and love it. 2.5? Fuck OFF.

Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

Serously, anyone just browsing this thread, get up, head down to your local music emporium and get this album - it's also in the dictionary under 'Perfect', 'Mutts Nutts' etc...

Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

it's good but not that good, i prefer a song to ruin to h no h.

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

clive, clive, clive. give it a while before deciding.

Re: Million Dead - After The Rush Hour

I can see why some people would prefer Song to Ruin, in that they've tweaked their style a bit,and what with the new guitarist, did you really expect STR 2?
The tracks with the choir are just aceness.
