The problem is, it’s so slickly put together that any attempt to engage with the song just slides off it’s shiny surface. Which may be the point – the "I know that’s why you love me chico" chorus coupled with a speedboat-laden video brings to mind disposable eighties pop glamour of a very fashionable variety. While this may well see it follow its predecessor into the charts, whether it floats your…er…boat probably depends on whether you like your bands to at least look like they dress themselves.

Re: The Bravery - Fearless
"I went to see these guys in Newcastle last night, and i can tell you i am far far from impressed. I went their full of expectation, and returned very angry. This band were either too pissed to play their instruments, or they REALLY CAN'T play their instruments. The singer was prouncing round the stage singing out of tune, and sometimes missing the mike completely (plenty of drop out). The guitarist was ok with the melodies (when he actually managed to keep in time with the drummer) but whenever he attempted a solo, he fluffed it!! Yet still he stood there all proud and smirking!!! The bassist, hahaha... what a joke! He was so drunk he didn't know what he was doing and seemed more interested in drinking his 'many' bottles of beer on stage! Shambolic!! The keyboardist!! Well, how hard was it to press a few buttons? I felt sorry for the drummer, he played his heart out while all around him fell to bits! This was you're chance to really impress boys, and you failed!! Sadly, i think far too many young gilrs and boys will eat this up and not notice they are being disrespected.
Sorry, but you stank big time!!!"
I really can't see how they could have changed since i wrote that

Forget the image,
forget the video and forget the dodgy makeup...Bravey is probably the only band around at the moment who are extremely tuneful. It's a shame that their music lacks originality - it sounds like a punk version of Cure. the vocals sound too much like robert smith or U2 which is a shame because i think he has a really good voice. despite all that, they manage to sound really fresh i think.
Fickle Indie Fans.....
......don't like the Bravery because NME tells them not too.
There are so many NME 'Ringtone' bands that people love, and if a band does not fit this ilk, as the Bravery do not, they love to slag them off.
Do you remember? YOU fickle indie types had a backlash against the strokes aswell when they became a bit more popular?
The Bravery are an awesome band. They have some great songs, and they fluorish on their more dreamy pop songs like 'No Brakes'.
It is fine that people don't like them. Glad they get up peoples backs, saved them from the FICKLE indie SNOBS.
