i secretly really like this song at the moment... its so sweet, cheery and lovely plus the video is good too !

I actually quite like it although every time I hear the beginnin I think it sounds like That's When I Reach For My Revolver by the old Burma lads. Maybe it's just me.

This is the worst single I've heard since the Others first released 'This Is For The Poor'. The Magic Numbers are one of the most boring, unimaginative bands I've heard in ages. Every time I hear their songs, every time I think of the fact they may be getting success, it makes me sick.

'Boring'? Well I saw them last week in Brighton and although there were a couple of rather dullish songs in the middle of their set (which probably can be excused as they haven't actually really released anything yet) they were certainly not boring. and their good stuff, which most of it was, is really good.
'Unimaginative'? Come off it, how can you describe a song like Hymn for Her unimaginative? They have a hell of a lot more imagination than most of the current crop of bands...ie. they're not trying to sound like each other for a start.
Saw Athlete on Jools Holland last night....now I know that Athlete are a crap band anyway but my point is that they are totally boring and unimaginative, dull as dishwater as my Gran used to say. Magic Numbers aren't.
But you don't like them so fair enough.

FUCKING HELL!!!! the magic numbers are so unbelievably shite, and this song blows.

Whenever you read their press stuff, they go on about 'fantastic multilayered harmonies' etc...bullshit. Their harmony singing is mundane and halfassed. And not multilayered

When you listen to this song, they sort of make all the approprite song type noises, but with a terrible meandering structure that near bores me to tears.

Then they have the fucking cheek to make some indie cliche noises, like the coldplay/willy mason 'I can't sing this high note properly so I'll make a funny noise' bleat!

Heard that drum pattern before? Yup, it's the intro to be my baby. Used in 28490503 indie songs since 1979!

no i like them. i mean there a good band. and forver lost is a great summer song . . maby there not the best musical talent around but there a cute band, and i think that good.
