Hot Hot Heat: Middle Of Nowhere

There's something undeniably infectious about Hot Hot Heat's singles, and this latest offering from 'Elevator' is no exception.

A jangly guitar intro sets the tone before some joyously nonsensical lyrics from poodle haired singer Steve Bays. 'I haven't slept a single night in over a month,' he claims, and with hair like that you can quite believe it.

The purist in me wants to hate this, it could easily soundtrack 'The O.C.', but it's now officially summer and everybody is allowed at least one guilty pleasure...

Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

this track is ok as is the LP. I just think that this and the rest of the latest album just lacks that raw edgey-ness of 'Make Up The Breakdown'.

Re: Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

the latest album is brilliant man... a wonderfuly fun dancy album that is just brimming with high energy!

Re: Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

Couldn't have said it better.

Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

This song is nowhere near as good as some of the other stuff they've done.

Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

you didnt have to do it but you did it to say
that you didnt have to do it but you would anyway

if a fucking ace lyric.

Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

Nowhere near the best thing on Elevator, but still good.

Elevator is my favourite album of the year so far. Why haven't you bought it yet? Yes, you.

Re: Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

Me, i have !

Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

Splendid jumpy fun. Elevator is the spirit of early Talking Heads but without the oversize suits.

Re: Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

and without a witty frontman, too.

Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere

This band is a turd.
