Look See Proof: Discussions

It takes less than 30 seconds for the intro of 'Discussions' to subside for logistical stereotypes to come seeping through, as even the most unequivocally musically disinterested person who's heard the remake of 'Hounds Of Love' would automatically assume that Look See Proof have equal measures of the Tyne and Wear's estuaries running through their digestive systems.

Of course you'd also be wrong, as this lot are as southern as the M11 interchange, but that still doesn't alter the perception that maybe they'd be better of focussing on trying to create an identity of their own in the not-too-distant future.

As it happens, neither of the two tracks on this single are half bad, especially if jerky, perky punk-pop with obnoxious, shouty choruses are your thing, and one can imagine that live Look See Proof would be quite a sweat-detracting, energy-sapping experience.

Distance

If you ask me this review is way off the mark taking into account LSP are an emerging band with growing and muturing sounds. I'm looking forward to Dom gourlay eating his words in a few years time.
Theres a big difference between tyne and wear and bedford.

I hope you're

right as the first single showed lots of promise, but there's only so many times a band can get away with recycling another band's ideas.

LSP have

been been doing some gigs in my area (hitchin soon) and my mates said they've been some of the best live. interesting.

It's strange

LSP have again released a single in which (in my opinion) the B-side ('Single's the New Together) is better than the lead single. It happened with the B-side 'Start Again' on 'Tell Me Tell Me Tell Me' and again now.

While all four released songs are top tunes, 'Start Again' and 'Single's...' are absolute gems, especially for an up-and-coming band like Look See Proof.
