Correct answer....
It's Bucky, for sure... and maybe Gonga.
Man Man: Rabbit Habits
Josephine Foster: This Coming Gladness
for fucks sake...
just press 'stop' between the last album track and the bonus tracks.
Are you kidding?
Born in the USA is AMAZING (apart from some of the dated production).
I fucking hate it
when the term 'sunshine-soaked harmonies' is used, almost as much as when reviewers call a band's second album 'sophomore'.
You can play normal saws
but specially-made ones are much nicer and bendier.
We used to have one in my old band- they are VERY difficult to play.
Captain Beefheart's 'Safe As Milk'
Why hasn't this been mentioned? Are you all weird?
Norman 'Hurricane' Smith
because 'Don't Let It Die' stamps most songs into the ground, picks them up, dusts them off then starts stamping all over again.
^^^
but without the money
it's still a wish
'cos I don't like to dream about getting paid
so I dig into the books of all the rhymes that I made
so here's the test to see if I got pull
hit the studio
'cos I'm paid in full.
Context is everything.
I saw the Monkey thing too...
there was a great bassline that kicked in during the opening animation but didn't last too long; the rest of the music was very respectful of the story's cultural origins.
I think this argument rests on the idea that musicians would probably find Damon more interesting whilst non-musicians like Liam because of his attitude (which sadly doesn't make great music).
'Some Kind of Monster'
is a film that never stops giving. Ever.
I watched clips from 'Star Shaped' on youtube the other day and had forgotten how ridiculously camp Blur were, particularly Graham.
I like this one
from FACT:
http://www.myspace.com/factmagazine
with tracks from Eat Skull, Fricara Pacchu, Aluk and other dirty noise.
Scroll down to stream / download it.
^^^ hoooray!
What a tune.
^^^ ha ha
Sadly not on that occasion. The backwards organ intro really churned me up.
Not sure about the intros
but you can definitely sing the Only Fools and Horses theme tune over Like A Virgin.
Thank you!
It does sound a bit dated overall, doesn't it? Nice Alkaline's mum story too.
I had to google haiku :(
anyway.....

Poor old N McCabe...
..he's a love.
'Van Helsing Boombox'
by Man Man
'Zen Archer' by Todd Rundgren
'Sprout and the Bean' by Joanna Newsom
My friend has an
occasional night there on saturdays and they have to turn the volume up treally loud to compete with the shit music they play downstairs, so it's an uncomfortable (on the ears) audio mash-up really.
THIS
is what you want:
http://blogfiles.wfmu.org/NR/rex/arex_wizard.mp3
'All I care about is wizardry' by Anthropophagous Rex- he's like amazing.
^^^ That and
'Ragamuffin Hip Hop' by Asher D and Daddy Freddy
'Patriot Games' by Gunshot
'Soft Machine Vol. 2' by ummm... Soft Machine.
I saw them once...
..and thought they were quite good, then I saw them again and thought it was possibly the most pretentious thing I'd ever seen (after Todd Rundgren's 'Liars' tour).
'Tent'
by Bonzo Dog Band.
'Crying'
by Roy Orbison at the end of Gummo.
Also...
.. The Feeling supported us just before their first single came out. They were very unfriendly and held conversations along the lines of 'Well, like I said to my accountant, I don't mind paying my taxes as long as the poor people do.'
Just to go back to the Pigeon Detective's, the last I ever saw of them was the singer licking pill dust from Ricky Wilson's hand in the toilets of the Faversham, Leeds.
Hmmm.....
I saw them at Dissonanze festival recently. They were really quite dull.
'rumours of recording'...
..ha ha. I'm glad you've confirmed because I just HAD TO KNOW.
'Paid In Full'
by Eric B. & Rakim is awesome in it's simplicity- a beat, a bassline and the greatest MC what ever lived.
Friends...
... because it's really sweet, although after reading this I'm not so sure:
http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%20America/Rock-n-Roll/beach_boys.htm
Ummm.....
'Boat Woman Song'- Holger Czukay / Rolf Dammers
'Van Helsing Boombox' or 'Whalebones'- Man Man
'The German Years' (any track)- Moondog
or for absolute nonsense, listen to the sounds of the Ukrainian undergorund here:
Zen Archer
by Todd Rundgren.
Verging on bonkers but really very beautiful, particularly the guitar / saxaphone marriage at the end.
Sadly, I met the Todd once and he wasn't very nice.
That's
exactly what I thought last week. I was excited anyway but they exceeded my already high expectations so much that my mind fell out of my ears... which leads to my general bafflement, I suppose.
^^^ Agreed...
on all points.
Yes,
thank you.

I like them...
